Does illustrate how absolutely rank the 2 mile chase division is at the moment, I'm afraid. Let's hope Gaelic Warrior can breathe some magic dust on it next year, and Energumene at least comes back with a leg at each corner.

Winner won easy. Much better on this ground. I remember when he got beat by Corach Rambler at Cheltenham and I was critical of the jockey sitting still instead of going for his race. All the experts said the horse had to be played late. Today's race proved once and for all what nonsense that was.
