They're all good, they provide a service. Anyone can do it. There are plenty of mugs to go around. I'd do it myself if I needed the money. |

If you mean the tipping sites providing tipster platforms, its worth keeping in mind there will always be someone top of the league. What counts is longevity. For myself, I can never understand how people get any enjoyment out of backing someone elses tips blind.
If you fancy your chances enrolling as a tipster, there are plenty of opportunities to do that. From personal experience, I can say with absolute certainty that being a tipster and making a profit from your own betting are very different things. Timing into the market is critical and putting up tips at recommended prices leaves you at the mercy of market volatility, (unless you're HT who will actually ensure that the price put up is the best available, but of course you won't get on at that), and tipsters don't fare well for subscribers if you find a need to wait until minutes or second before the off before playing/tipping. Also the discipline of having others rely on your input brings a level pressure that you don't from get being answerable only to yourself. It need ice in the veins. |

When I was young and naive I used to ring a telephone tipster who advertised in the Racing Post called 'The Sweeney'. He found me a few winners but no more than I could find myself. I always wondered who he was or what happened to him. I'd be fascinated if anyone could give any information about the guy.

I'm at odds with most people that harp on about value and getting on at the right price.
Of course you try to get the best price, but if making a profit depends entirely on the price obtained, then you need to consider how you make your selections. Also the types of races you're betting in. How does Veitch get value with his team of people putting the money on for him? He won't even know what price he's getting in most cases. |
|
By:
rubbish. veitch, and others wont have a bet if they dont get what they want
its all about the choc ice. nothing else anywhere near as important. thats why bog is golden |
|
By:
Crippen. It's the price, stupid!

It's easy to say that after being conditioned to think that way, until you consider how he gets his money on. The price could shorten considerably while his team are on their way. What does he call them back and cancel the operation if the price starts to shorten? Of course he doesn’t. |

Prices night be crucial for you DIE LINK.
But you wouldn’t be preoccupied with prices if you were sure of your bets. Plenty used to get by in the old days even after paying 10% betting tax out of their winnings. |

dr. drivel at it again. if you are sure of your bets price doesnt matter
