So there’s no chance of this making a comeback?

It was a very useful race for me down the years.

The Earl of Sefton looks decent and there’s a certain C&D winner in it who’s been having funny abroad that last couple of months. Hmm…14/1 too. Interesting.

They're taking away some of my favourite races, loved the Free Handicap.

Remember falling in love with Mystiko who won it from the front and then won the guineas.

They've also stolen the future champions novice chase at Ayr and replaced it with a 3 mile novice handicap. Loved that old race too, used to go to the Scottish National meeting every year until it became a drunken idiots convention. Last time there was when Sprinter won the bumper Love

when i first remember the free handicap trainers  were deciding between the free handicap and running in the 2000 G,wonder who the last winner/runner of the free handicap who ran in the 2000 G ,was ?

It was def a guineas trial back in the day. tacarib bay runner up in 2022 ran in the 2000 (unplaced)
