Excuse my Steven Hawking report but go to the edge of a black hole, time actually stops. Hard to comprehend but that is true. Hawking had it sussed in the sixties. He declined a knighthood from the Queen as he didn't believe in gimmicks. Sir Roger Penrose on the other hand gladly accepted it.
Nothing travels faster than the speed of light but a black hole will suck in anything, even massive stars, and light....
Look at the sun today for a second or less. You wont see the sun but you will see it as it was....six minutes ago.

I'm fairly sure you are right Dancing. Either way, it's a helluvava long distance away. I could google but millions of light years away considering the speed of light travels at approx. 3000000 metres per second.
It's plenty theorised but my belief is we are nothing more than a cosmic accident.
