I've said as much a couple of times on the footie forum.
Anyone who is making it work betting on football, especially the Premiership, is a better man than I. Arsenal getting turned over against Villa was a right kick in the stotts for me. Even the draw would have been okay.

I pointed it out to show how idiotic the market is. According to the efficient market theory, 1.3 shots in footie should win as often as 1.3 shots in racing. And yet, they don't. Because either the market overbets them, or the team underestimates an outsider, or they don't need the win, or the ousider builds a wall to finish 0-0 or 1-1, or the fav gets a red card or penalty against. 1.3 shots in footie are for megamugs to put into accas only to complain about them later at the pub. As for my experience, I have won loads in footie opposing clown odds on favs, but lost doing the same in racing because odds on favs never lose.

Sunday was one of those days for fancied teams but by and large they've been relatively good, particularly in Germany, Holland etc. At least you know that they're trying even if they have the odd hiccup.

I have noticed the same thing as brass, a team will go 2-0 in 30 minutes, you can lay them at 1.1 and then they'll lose like the clowns they are. It works even better if you make a list of proven clown teams who have blown 2 goal leads.

Live betting is also weird. Back the over when half time has 0 shots on target. Back the under when HT has 3+ goals. Lay the team that has 70% posession or 70% shots. Always bet on the thing that doesn't make sense.
