Used to back in the old days when the Racing Post published form figures but television coverage (and betting) was based on who was famous rather than playing well.

I'm on the jolly (Hotshots Skybet) and McIlroy as ever for 12 places. My favourite golf tournament, loved the period when the European players ruled the roost in the 80's to middle 90's; Sandy Lyle, Nick Faldo (twice) & Ian Woosnam sequence brilliant.

I loved the BBC coverage with Peter Allis brilliant wit. Sky commentators a bit too dry for me and less interesting characters playing nowadays.

Ewan Murrays voice is so mundane it sends me to sleep, and Radar just doesnt seem professional enough. Mark McCormack was superb back in the 80's

A drab line up nowadays full of has-beens and who-are-yous, no doubt we will get to see every one of Tiger's shots as per, and possibly of a few of the probable winner's shots on the last day, but wouldn't bank on it if they come from the clouds.

the sportsbook win book is ~200% and place book is ~66%, so more or less breakeven, but quite a lot of variance in the prices in comparison to the market.

I dont think he factored in the adrenalin rush at trying to win The Open at the age of 59. He absolutely nailed it straight at the stick.

Tatt, cheers for link. Not seen Jack in a fair while, he seemed less hunched over so that was good to see. Watson could probably still get round in par!

Would be something if Gary kept up his fitness regime and he managed to tee off at 100...not so sure Jack will be able to keep it up for that much longer. |
