Foxy Jacks is the worry for me. Anyone who watched his run in the Topham must have doubts.

By:

it,ll be far harder of itv to find a horse in the national who,s owner,s,trainer,s jockey,s families hasnt got someone either currently suffering or had someone die through cancer
By:
WOW YEW LOAD OF CLOWNS A KID WAS SERIOUSLY ILL.
LETS HOPE YEW NEVER SUFFER THROUGH THAT |
By:
call me cynical but the family/connections were that desperate for it to run, they ran it in 3 hurdles to avoid getting a higher mark and keep a few lbs up their sleeve,s and in the process nearly missed out on getting a run
and i no its itv/media and not the family banging the back story drum |
By:
Been done plenty times 1st time poster that is standard procedure.
By:
yep i no
By:
1tp, are you referring to his sheer number of runners or the fact they can't feature him without mentioning him sitting on a dead horse?
That could have been easily omitted from his story as is the norm. |

Only advice i can offer to those it offends and to prevent endless typing and moaning.........

So why watch it, I've not seen 1 sec of what you speak of on any channel and only seen headlines? Its called choice. What is the programme you are talking about and what is it called and who is Elliott for goodness sake! |
By:
Meaning the programme the OP speaks of.
By:
No idea sparrow tbh , we read it's been plastered everywhere a million times already and i've no idea what it's all about

By:
They seem to assume everyone watches this programme whatever it is, hayden.

By:
This is a message board. It's not a committee meeting where minutes and times are recorded.
If you don't know what he's talking about you obviously missed the piece on tv. So mute yourself |

think the point is ITV had spent all weekvdoing their X fascvtor back story routine and kitty,s was their horse /story so got all their stories, tunes ready to go and if conflated hadnt come out it would all go up in smoke, so soon as decs confirmed his particapation at 10,00, WE WERE UNDER STARTER,S ORDERS AND OFF ,dont worry if you havnt heard theres
another 3hrs today hr tomorrow morning 3 hrs tomorrow afternoon and all day saturday to get with the story suppose the more intriguing ? is who were 2nd and 3rd choices ? |
By:
Ok, cuckoo boy.
By:
okay I googled. Gordon Elliot has w/d Conflated from GN so Kitty's Light has got in.
I don't know the back story to why that horse would be the "story" for the media |
By:
williams daughter got some sort of cancer its her fav horse
By:
I don't think it's wise for a sparrow to wind up a cuckoo, little one.
Cuckoos are brutal................in the wild ![]() |
By:
ahh okay, thanks 1st time p
By:
I remember a piece about a farmer/trainer who had one horse I think and it was in the GN.
ITV had their cameras in the stable days before. Can't remember the name of the horse but the trainer and wife were obviously in love with the horse who was small and they repeated many times how they just hoped he came back safe and sound he was more like a pet. They ram him thru gritted teeth, it was obvious Gotta admit when the horse got killed I felt terrible for them. Does anyone remember the horse? Maybe 10 years ago? |
By:
ran him
By:
different levels but personally i found the breeders cupstoryu/winner of that poorly kid, pretty disgusting tv which tempted me more to switch it off than celebrate with the lad, especialy when lucky ,laucnhed in to gushing lucky over drive, seemed more of a prop than part of the story
By:
Grand National stories are part and parcel of the race aren't they and what the occasional punters like to hear about so wouldn't blame the media one iota for shouting it from the rooftops , can probably just about see how the diehard daily gamblers see it as an intrusion but the sport is dying fast and aren't the occasionals / new customers the type we want to attract to the sport as opposed to just hoping the diehards live longer.
Good luck today all ![]() |
By:
so as someone posted eawlier dodgey jumper in national can easily go the other way, whats the story then ?
By:
Not heard this story. So Elliott withdrew a horse so they could get a run? Knowing him i'd doubt that very much.
By:
I think it's According to Pete you're referring to j-c-m....tempting fate by channel4...
By:
the openning title is a joke, cryptic, ironic, humour amongst punter/sporting people call it what you like , the fact there no longer taking as such is why the forums been dying on its arris for yrs
By:
maybe i,ll/we,ll stick to
HUNTINGTON OFF THE A1 NEXT TIME |
