After some very weak racing this week, we have at last arrived at the Grand National meeting with Newmarket and Cheltenham to follow next week. Lets hope that the rain does not cancel any more meetings apart from Newton Abbot in the next 10 days.

I think we’ve had very weak racing for much longer than this week sageform, but yes at last aintree has arrived and the final decs for the first two days are superb something for everyone fingers crossed the going doesn’t spoil it.

Good luck over the three days

...Well friends, at least I'm guaranteed to break even today at Aintree......I can't find any bet that gives me the confidence I usually need to get stuck in, of "no apparent viable competion" ....

I'll wait patiently for a Novice Hurdle race at a minor track somewhere ...lol

Enjoy your day anyway .....

Yes Jim, same here, I'm about 20 miles North
Sage also nearby and I know he's a keen weather watcher, especially as to how the going will be affected

Looks like it might be a very disappointing day if you don't like backing shorties.
