easy to say now but crazy 40/1  for a well bred unexposed  harrington horse !

if you wanted a chunk on on the exchange then you had to take the 14s really, few hundred in the 20s. I guess they purposely don't touch it until late to hopefully get on somewhere where they can get matched higher amounts at the bigger juicy value prices. They were still very keen in the teens though

i.e. if they back it early they might have to take 6s etc, let it slide, then can get chunks on 14-16s here and hopefully have their ways of getting matched at bookies massive prices i.e. 25-40/1 elsewhere

wouldnt imagine the niarchoses need to bet , as i say plenty of guesswork needed in this game but its part and parcel ,could have a horse 10 pound in hand but dont mean its gonna win anything can happen and you try to factor that in .

always quite nice to get on a horse you think has a cracking chance from 70s into 14s !!

was 18/1 when i first looked at the race prob around half hour or so before race iirc looked at the replay of last seasons run wernt knocked about tho finished last looked green head a bit to one side ,next time i looked at betting was 40/1.....that looked very big given the circs .

Around £50-£100 matched around 60-70
