..He's a likeable young fella...he gives everything his best shot,( even though he's always willing to ride plenty of outsiders for smaller trainers ) ............and,of course, Sir Mark likes him .....

I still can't understand why the BHA don't ban him for his whip action above shoulder height.

i think the reason many ask that is because the rule isn't clear, it's often written as the whip must not be used above shoulder height, but actually the correct and full definition is that the whip arm must not be above shoulder height, so in effect the whip may appear to be higher but so long as the arm is not above the shoulder it's ok, there's an add on about the whip hand being seen to be below the top of the helmet

you could clearly see on the head on last night his arm starts above shoulder height then he brings it down so it ends up being more sideaways
and they've cleared him because of that modification wrongly imo and the smack on the run in last night when effectively finishing alone should be a ban also |

we talk of whip bans now simply because the rules are being adapted to appease groups that have no real vested interest in racing, just the removal of it, they use soft "whips" which are nothing like they were and have restrictions on the number of uses, where they can hit and in what hand position, it's all just muddying until the removal of the whip and ultimately the demise of racing in general

Rode a horse I have a share in that needs a bit of driving.Second time he rode it knew exactly what the horse was like and how he wanted to ride it,horse won. He was not the most jovial pre race but very business like, he did have a couple of stable rides after ours that were favourites so perhaps had a lot on his mind.I believe away from the track he is very cordial

no money involved , just seen him lose a race that99% of pro jockeys would have won in canter, his horse was going so easily 3 furlongs out pulling his arms out sockets that he deliberately stayed behind lead horse who was under pressure only other horse within sight came on outside again under strong pressure and held him in Morris tried to push out on at least 4 occasions completely unbalancing the FAP he was riding Rogue state knocked the eventual 2nd out of its stride and the leader stayed in front and won because FAP put headin air refused to run on after being bumped 3-4 times whilst becoming unbalanced
