Maybe can’t 50/60 mile an hour wind save the going
|
|
By:
Doesn't it dry quickly though or am I thinking of somewhere else? If it happened to be a nice day Saturday wouldn't it start to change the going quickly again?

Just put the bins out, good job plenty of bottles and tins in or it would have been down the road.
Rain coming sideways with it. |

Usually MJK, but water table is very high here at present so rain has nowhere to go, a lot of surface water lying on the fields about us.

coc said on sunday might be gd tp sft by saturday, they lie for 6 days and then reality strikes, just comfort yourself with the fact their not pilots, open heart surgeons, train drivers etc etc, deluding themselves in the face of the facts everyone else can see 24/7

Must be more heavy than soft at the moment and with the forecast, surely it can't be anything else other than heavy, come Saturday.
I would say the last thing they want is a drying wind, would turn the ground tacky. At least when it's wet they have more chance of going through it. |

Dry from tomorrow evening, they will be watering Friday night

Flood Alerts out for several rivers in Lancashire now. Very high spring tides tonight wont help.
Hopefully Aintree will miss the brunt of hit. Galia Des Litaux wont mind and has good form over 4 and a half in heavy. Just had a bit of 33/1 while it is left. |

That Didnt look Soft to me

I said it earlier in the week when people were talking about hardly any finishers due to the 'heavy' ground. It dries out quickly, as proved today.

dry weather top surface looks like good ground
go a few inches under there's plenty of moisture in the profile still as befits a wet winter & spring |
