Ben Nevis and Red Marauder spring to mind.

More rain tomorrow night.

Going to a real slog this year.

Doesn't it dry quickly though or am I thinking of somewhere else? If it happened to be a nice day Saturday wouldn't it start to change the going quickly again?

Just put the bins out, good job plenty of bottles and tins in or it would have been down the road.

Usually MJK, but water table is very high here at present so rain has nowhere to go, a lot of surface water lying on the fields about us.

Must be more heavy than soft at the moment and with the forecast, surely it can't be anything else other than heavy, come Saturday.

I would say the last thing they want is a drying wind, would turn the ground tacky. At least when it's wet they have more chance of going through it.

Flood Alerts out for several rivers in Lancashire now. Very high spring tides tonight wont help.

Hopefully Aintree will miss the brunt of hit.

Galia Des Litaux wont mind and has good form over 4 and a half in heavy.

Just had a bit of 33/1 while it is left.

not a multiple man fattie how many lines is 8 selections if done ew and can you do.is it worth ew side as it,ll be settled win/win, place to place  ew, ? , shamr really 12 availble with obviously reduced prices on golf with pleny including slybet who are also doing 6 NRNB on GN,there probably be better after dec time on places but you,ll have needed to have bet on by about that time, so 6 and 12 looks best to me

Started raining at 9am and stopped at 2pm where I am (16 miles away).

Going stick 2.7 on National course.

Good chance of another 3 or 4 hours of rain tonight.

Bring your wellies.

'Twas just 2.4 on the stick when Red marauder won, apparently [4 finishers]
Ben Nevis won it on very heavy going in which only 4 finished that race.

I said it earlier in the week when people were talking about hardly any finishers due to the 'heavy' ground. It dries out quickly, as proved today.

its caught out all the mugs this week case
those who expected soup & those who thought it dry out to normal ground conditions for this meeting
both wrong

it has been (drying) predominately soft ground on times all 3 days, exception being the mildmay chase track g/s today

dry weather top surface looks like good ground
go a few inches under there's plenty of moisture in the profile still as befits a wet winter & spring
