Jcr racecourses have announced they will be unable to honour the 60 million promised blaming the usual stuff energy costs ,food costs also indicated the shortfall at the Cheltenham Festival was part of the problem.

Perhaps if they started to try and get more people through the gates in particular at haydock where all they seem to want to do is alienate racegoers, finance would be better.

The cost at aintree for there first ever Boxing Day fixture resulted in a disappointing crowd where a chance was missed to get them through the gates with the hope of many making it a permanent date in there Christmas diaries.

Never used to miss an Aintree meeting. Packed it up a few years ago. Whole place is a rip off and the do not give a jot.

Money can be better spent elsewhere.

Disgraceful. One poor Cheltenham and stealing money from owners. I notice they have dumped some premier meetings, probably already realised they are a waste of time.

Season tickets for most Premier League teams up 10-15 per cent next year. At least they have a product at the top of its game. But racing is in big trouble

If your are on a Racecourse for 5 or 6 hours you need someplace to sit down from time to time.

A lot of courses seem oblivious to the fact.

never had a tea/coffee or at the races.  the odd beer always stood up.  Rest of time walking between bookies and paddock.  Come to think I once briefly  sat down with a couple of people I didn't expect to see  but it's once in a blue moon.  I suppose I see a day at the races as a physical challenge Grin

Unfortunately have Osteoarthritis of the spine so cannot stand in same spot for more than a few minutes and have to keep moving.

Walk 3 or 4 miles each day to keep the fitness up so doing my best.

It is not good anywhere Happy Hibby as it is regressive with age.
