I’m 30/40 miles away. It’s been lovely and sunny here all day.

Cheers Kenbo, there was a caveat about unpredictable weather forecast or suchlike...
Would be disappointed if abandoned after today's statement |
|
By:
Just seen it’s given sunshine but high winds.
|
|

Perfect drying conditions then
Just hope not abandoned because of high winds! |

i remember talking to an owner at uttox some time ago . he said when heavy the ground would kill elephants . but i suspect it will be on . if you have to omit 3 hurdles and fences and can barely see the horses ears it will be fine for that course . dreadful racing , dreadful place .

Use to be a great place to go Windsor, train station on site ,decent racing ,good racing crowd and a fair choice of food now only the station remains.

Stating the obvious, but gonna be some slow motion finishes I would imagine |

..I used to live adjacent to the course many years ago....the ground is basically just Clay..i.e. if your hoof goes in, it's a bugger to get out !
...Crucial today to find heavy ground horses I would say.... Personally, I wouldn't be touching it with a bargpole....GL |

....I think my betting activity today will be limited to £200 on Devoted Queen at Kempton, at somewhere above 1.5.
Not original, and not a tip, just my idle way of eeking out a profit....maybe !, lol |

It sure will reg bad horses on bad ground
Good luck if you play reg Richgit that’s one bet more than me today good luck with it |

Hopefully but at the moment both aintree and the craven meeting both have unsettled forecast richgit, but yes the entries for Thursday look very good as is normal for this fixture .
|
|
By:
ah yes , the aintree puzzle . back those that have swerved cheltenham ? or put your faith in those who ran well / won at the festival ? i'm generally in the former camp but its a tricky low stakes aintree for me . enjoyable though . i would really like latenightpass and gina andrews to be the winning ' national story ' ...

Went the week before, planned to go but the inclement weather and the 35 minute gaps with a 5.40 finish got the better of us,reluctant to let the usual suspects have it to themselves but with Paul being out of action for a month (ankle op)we decided agai nst,we were going yesterday if it had been on.
