i remember talking to an owner at uttox some time ago . he said when heavy the ground would kill elephants . but i suspect it will be on . if you have to omit 3 hurdles and fences and can barely see the horses ears it will be fine for that course . dreadful racing , dreadful place .

..I used to live adjacent to the course many years ago....the ground is basically just Clay..i.e. if your hoof goes in, it's a bugger to get out !

Went the week before,planned to go but the inclement weather and the 35 minute gaps with a 5.40 finish got the better of us,reluctant to let the usual suspects have it to themselves but with Paul being out of action for a month (ankle op)we decided agai nst,we were going yesterday if it had been on.
