Locken Lady 1.62 to win IR, of course it would be too much to ask to finish in the top 3.

Drifters always either win or not place.

"Also, favs in maidens never lose. Back all maiden favs for a 60% win rate." If favs in maidens never lose, wouldn't that equate to a 100% win rate?
Alan Potts was never that keen on backing ew as horses that had tried to win but didn't,  often used so much energy that  they got  caught by plodders that never had any real chance of winning.

But if my horses either win or not place, other horses should do that to so it evens out.

Even if the top 2 favs are trash and I fancy the third one a lot, he either wins or doesn't place, the places will be taken by random rags.
