Is this worth the hassle? Loads of petrol currency on offer for some fairly mediocre races with the exception of The Sheema Classic (£2.74m to the winner) where Auguste Rodin and Emily Upjohn are in contention; 5/2 and 8/1 respectively. The fav is Liberty Island at 9/4.

I think Lord North (15/2) can win in The Turf again; he won and dh (1st) last 2 visits. I did not think he was ridden to win or get home last time at Southwell over 11f. I'm surprised Dettori is on board and not Shoemark - the stable jock; Nashwa (Doyle) cannot be overlooked either.

I think Auguste Rodin (11/4) has an excellent chance in the Sheema Classic, provided no traffic problem; 12f is his optimum trip too.

I'm going to enjoy watching Meydan today and if I was going to have a bet, it would be Namur EW in the 3.10 for the shrewd, have horse will travel, Carrot Farm. Namur's been punted today, as was Mer de Glace, the Caulfield Cup winner in 2019, among others and I'd be surprised if Namur doesn't outrun her odds of 20/1 (from 28/1 this morning)

if this hound arabian race was on a goodwoodor newbury in the summer every ruk pundit would be at the toilet, bar, hotdog stand etc and not one of them would be watching it let alone betting or commenting on it

Disagree 1sttp , 98% would be betting on it as they couldn't help themselves , most punters don't differentiate between a seller and a classic they just want/need to bet.

Most people will do most things if the cheque is big enough, 1st timer. At least most of those you name checked don't try to leverage their position to push their personal brand of politics on to the audience (when it suits them). With one glaring exception.

I recall back in the day, big mac did not mention betfair (the machine) at all, as if it didn't even exist in the early days. But then they started sponsored a show that he was doing, and every single time horse odds came up guess what he was referencing! It's the same now as RTV hardly mention the exchanges or traded prices on bf. Only sometimes in passing after the race. At least sky displays the trading prices.
