As a follow on to the Beatles thread, if i have a go usually like to sing Leonard Cohen (Dance me to the end of love), Richard Hawley (Coles Corner)or an awful rendition of Disturbed version of Sound of Silence!Laugh Soon emptys the room so i can get back to playing snooker.Grin

"Poetry In Motion" by Johnny Tillotson

Quite easy to sing and usually gets the old dears up onto the dancefloor

I bought the record Poetry in Motion when it was  originally released. My own Curry Oakie song is Like a Hurricane By Neil Young. I also play it with many effects pedals on my Creakybacker guitar when persuaded to,

I can't sing. Strange now I think about it because we had years of singing at school but they never attempted to teach anyone to sing. Either it came naturally or you got lost in the noise.

My winning song was Portrait of my love by Matt Munro

And, I might add, I bought the whole bar of about 100 people a drink from the winnings
Was about 20 years ago, about 1 euro a pint then, so still had change

I can't really sing but last time I did a kareoke competition, maybe 20 years ago when pi$$ed up in Portugal, I did "With Or Without" You by U2.

I got 5/10 from the judges which I was very happy with.
