Gardaí are hunting a gang of thugs who attacked two talented Irish jockeys – days after they starred at Cheltenham.
The Irish Mirror has established that Jack Kennedy and Sam Ewing were attacked in the centre of Naas, Co Kildare early last Monday morning. Sources say the pair, who both won races for Gordon Elliott at the Cheltenham Festival that had finished three days earlier, were attacked by a mob of young men from another part of Kildare. It’s understood comments were made to the men about their performances at the festival – even though both rode winners. “There were ridiculous comments made about Cheltenham,” a source said. |

Can't understand why anyone would make light of 2 people getting attacked.
Hope they are both okay and the culprits dealt with |

if you're a recognisable jockey there's always going to be one of two wanting to have a pop. not sure if wandering the streets of naas after kicking out time at a nightclub is the best way to avoid a bunch of pis5ed up ar5eholes looking for trouble.
