If that was a repeat of T20 between England and New Zealand it was an exciting match going down to the last ball, and not everyone could have watched it live.
Three channels covering a football match is overkill, but yesterday Sky dedicated their two tennis channels to the same tennis match involving Cameron Norrie.

McCririck appeared on ‘ After Dark’ in 87 or 88. It was a Granada Production fronted by Tony ( or Anthony H. ) Wilson of Hacienda fame, who’d cut his teeth airing local punk bands on the Friday night Granada Reports programmes. ‘After Dark’ began around 11.30 pm and they just chatted until well into the early hours.
When McCririck appeared he was joined by Barney Curley, a chap described as an ‘Aintree resident’ who was a self declared communist, a chap with self declared gambling problems who sat in shadow all through the show, Duncan Keith who was alleging mass corruption in the sport, and Brian Radford, arguably the biggest shiit stirring journalist in the sport at the time.
During one exchange, McCririck berated Keith, saying what a shame that one of the best front running riders ever should now sink to these levels of dubious storytelling - Wilson intervened, “ Well John, have you ever thought that some of those front running rides from Duncan that failed to come off were done deliberately to ensure the horse got beat.”

the sporting life - I originally had hundreds of hours of racing and racing programmes ( including that After Dark)on VHS but I neglected them by storing badly and the dreaded white mould ruined them - however you have the likes of espmadrid on You Tube and 'History of Horse Racing @horsevault' on X who provide us all with terrific service from what must be gigantum collections. These sources could be worth contacting.
