Johnny Dineen beat David Jennings by a magnificent 25p.

The post-Festival wrap video is at

Nine selections each (a tenth was voided when the Cross-Country race was abandoned).

JD: 2 winners; 3 seconds; 1 unplaced; 3 NRs including one winner of a different race. +£2.25 net.
DJ: 1 winner; 1 third; 1 unplaced; an incredible 6 NRs including two winners of different races. +£2 net.

At Johnny Dineen's request, the number of selections had been halved from the 20 of last year and the Gavin Lynch years.

Really this shows the futility of ante-post betting. Even if you get the right horse, you still need to get the right race on the right going.

Although we are reminded that this post-Cheltenham wrap show last year gave two winning tips from two: Teahupoo for the Stayers and Ballyburn for the Baring Bingham.

Can you provide a reference to last year's stats? Just taking one year isolation is misleading. Pretty sure they were both useless last year.

That will be why Johnny Dineen insisted on cutting the number of selections from 20 to 10.

Last year's review video is

In 2023, JD had one winner and DJ had none. (Corach Rambler since you ask.)

As previously mentioned, they ended the 2023 Festival by tipping Ballyburn for the Baring Bingham and Teahupoo for the Stayers.

Not sure who put up Ballyburn last year, but Dineen was all over Ballyburn for the Supreme at 14/1. If anything he helped spark off all of that market movement off. That would seem strange if he thought the horse was suited to the longer distance.

It was David Jennings who, this time last year, put up Ballyburn for the longer race, while Johnny Dineen named Teahupoo. As you say, this year Dineen nominated Ballyburn for the Supreme.
