I agree.  Matt lets himself doen occasionally.  Brilliant story from Harry about his Grannie from Poplar.  Just brilliant.

Whilst the coverage is rightly getting a panning. We are lucky to have any terrestrial racing on TV. Played 6 a-side football today, including subs, only 2 of us were watching,  there is not as much interest as we would like to believe. So we will have to put up with it.

Been in bookies every morning this week putting on placepots, multiples
In for about an hour each time
Maximum 5 people came in, quite often I was the only person in there
Interest not there amongst younger people, if they is, all done by phone

Yes, yes they can.

Several of us have reported much the same in recent times Reg.
Racing should be very, very worried indeed but I doubt if anybody even connects the emptiness of Betting Shops with a forthcoming downturn in Racing interest.

I don;t think anyone under a certain age would bother with the shops anymore though.

I punt everyday and the last time i went in a shop, was the day I stopped working in one.  Ladbrokes, Guildford - 2008!!

Different in Ireland where there's loads of younger folk in betting because it's Cheltenham. It'll be back to normal though next Monday when the only younger punters will be those betting on roulette.

Clapping themselves on the back due to 'strong' viewing figures. They obviously are ignoring the fact that this is the only way for a lot of people to see the racing. The casual punter/viewers don't have the racing channel. And reading that (in their minds) everything they did was great certainly means nothings gonna change anytime soon.

Channel 4 everyone had lovely hands and were brilliant in every way….

ITV everyone is a genius…..lovely people…..”I know them well “…….

1.01 no one or channel will come close to the original BBC like or loath…..

nobody did racing better than beeb, and hate myself for saying this but even bloody claire balding was better than this lot
