no ryme or reason but you can see the logic in letting a few knarly handicappers run, but why run the novices if they might come back scoping badly etc ,finishes them for aintree,punch,ayr ,sandown etc,surely its harder on novices than the older horses ?

Have to disagree. A sick horse is a sick horse regardless of age or brilliance. For so.eone working for the post to write this type of garbage says where the game is going. Far too many people in jobs in racing who are utterly clueless.
