Laugh  She certainly has Scu's arrogance but then he had something with which to be arrogant about.
I simply cannot thole the woman.  She is so smug, and, about what exactly?
"It's not what we do"!   Pathetic.

Munir and Souede won't let her off riding in France on  Saturday to ride Stay Away Fay in the Grand National, Johnny Burke called up to replace her.

she will be sick if he wins.Crazy

Hi Honcho! Remember me? How are you?
Just on Bryony, top female jockey over jumps in the UK and closing in on the top ten in the French jump jockeys championship this year.
Nearly 300k in euro prize money already this year (since January).
Why risk her neck on a 100/1 shot at Aintree, when she has good rides in France over the weekend?
I've been watching the French jump racing since she went to France and it is generally far better than ours at the moment imo. Bigger fields, more prize money, good odds.

Yep she is riding well at the moment, seems to have now adapted to the pace of the racing in France and is riding her horses a little more forward than when she first went over.

Bryony would probably want to win a Grand National like her father did on Little Polveir at 28/1 but rules is rules and retainers is retainers (or est retainers as they say in France).

Can't understand why Nicholls doesn't put Lorcan Williams on Stay Away Faye instead, or is he on something else or has he fallen out with Nicholls? Strange.
By:
Ramruma
When: 01 Apr 25 13:02
Lorcan Williams has had only two mounts since winning the Champion Hurdle on Golden Ace, both for Jeremy Scott on the 25th and 30th of March, and both won.

I've no idea why LW has no more rides but we may have stumbled on a guaranteed 100% betting cistern.
By:

When: 01 Apr 25 13:09
LW has hardly any rides but also I doubt he can reliably do 10st 9lb for Stay Away Fay. He has not ridden that low this year.

Has Lorcan Williams had many rides for Nicholls since he slated him for getting a one disqualified for overuse of the whip?

All i can see is no rides for him for at least five weeks.

He's had half a dozen for him since. The best of them being Rubaud in the Kingmaker at Warwick on Feb 8, with 2 others on that card, but none since that day.

Tony Calvin thinks there is more to this story than meets the eye. A text from Frost to Nicholls? His opinion is that this would normwlly be a phone call
By:

Surely Nicholls would have known that the chances were that Bryony would take rides for her retainer first, and he should have made provision for such an event. As it turns out he's got a very capable replacement imo.

Tony Calvin on the Bryony text is at about 5'50" into the AK Bets podcast:-
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dwwt3_17YBQ&t=352s

Tbh I can't see a text as particularly suspicious; more interesting is that the next rider booked, Jonny Burke, also then withdrew.

Ramruma, has Burke not just jumped ship for a horse he thinks has a better chance? Or maybe he would rather keep in Mullins good books than Nicholls.
By:

When: 02 Apr 25 07:18
I'd have done what Mr Burke had done. I'd have chosen to ride a horse in the National with a better chance of winning or placing; to be on Mr Mullins's jockey list is an added bonus.

Ms Frost was "demoted" in the jockey rank at Mr Nicholls's yard.
By:

When: 02 Apr 25 07:27
When was she officially demoted? Was this before she moved to France, which has better racing and much better prize money.
By:

When: 02 Apr 25 07:42
Sometimes in life certain things need not need saying to be clear or evident. Ms Frost was used significantly lesser after that public spat with a fellow "professional" jockey which resulted in the BHA handling out a censure on that jockey. Anyway, what Mr Burke has done is pretty common in that profession.
By:

Bryony's move to France is working out well for her. The Nicholls jockey I feel sympathy for is Lorcan Williams who seems to have been given the cold shoulder by Nicholls since his mistake at Newbury earlier in the season. It's a tough old game once you lose your apprentice claims, unless you are related to a trainer.
By:

Maybe her retainers Isaacs/Suede dont want to take the chance however remote of it happenihg  of their retained jockey beating their Nat Fav Intense Raffles into second in the race itself, sounds ridiculous but would you take the chance? stranger things have happened.

So Bryony Frost has no rides in France tomorrow and just one on Sunday, so I wonder why she couldn't have ridden in the National tomorrow for Nicholls? Strange.

I have it on good authority that Lorcan Williams won't be riding for Nicholls again.

There was quite a bust up and Nicholls does not forgive and forget - just ask some of his former staff.
