with them seeding their own pools with house bought tickets, there's no value to punters

could go 1 billion guaranteed every day makes no difference

Im amazing how many punters think they are topping up the pool with money. When they are told what actually is happening they are astounded, especially the fact the house bought tickets are kept a secret.

You can add the Tote win funds to the above ... last years returns Day 1 mirroring sp almost to the penny.

Two completely opposite betting mediums,Scandalous, where are these extra funds going?

WONDERS, I contacted the GC a few months ago about the " Seeding " of pools, I was more or less told that if its in their  T&Cs there is nothing wrong.!

And as you say it is completely  irrelevant how much their Mouthpiece says is going to be in the pool if they are determined not to disclose how many ticket's they " Own".

Surely what is relevant is how and when they seed the pool not that they do ?

If they are merely buying (massive) perms before the start of the first race, without using inside knowledge of what lines have already been played , then I can't see a problem.

If their algorithm somehow searches for under bet combinations and buys those then I would agree.

Nothing new with the Tote manipulating its pool..  Goes right back to Woodrow Wyatt in the 70s

Wonder why there has never been any advertising of the Tote buying into their own pools ?

If its so beneficial to the punter you would think they would take out a page of advertising in the RP. ? ..... Only joking. Wink
