Price of guinness is an irrelevant headline grabber. Its the £20 to park your car on top of the £100+ club enclosure (for poor facilities and being herded around like cattle) and the £300 per night for a hotel within 50 miles. All this for a diluted 4 day festival, with far many single figure uncompetitive races. People are voting with their feat , and it will get worse next year. They need to get back to a 3 day competitive, championship festival. Mullins might not like it , but it might encourage owners to spread their horses around a bit more. Cannot believe in a very average Supreme Novices hurdle there are only 3 english runners ???? What the hell are English trainers playing at?

Whoknows you make some very valid points , many people are now voting with their feet and staying home, can't say I blame them either.

Yes agreed. Its too expensive with the product not good enough and the experience and facilities poor. For the same price as going for one day to festival i can fly ti Madrid watch a Real game stay 2 nights enjoy Madrid and ive had holiday and seen a premium sport event. I think Chelt are in big trouble over next few years

Seems to me only the very wealthy can afford to attend this festival.

I paid 108 GBP on opening day last year, not including refreshments and travel etc (i stayed in a Bristol hotel). Last Saturday i flew from München to Gatwick and will be off to Barcelona early Wednesday morning for less than this (Easy Jet and Vuelling). I can watch it on ITVX.
