cracking renewal and has a nice open look to it, taking on the front of the market with a couple who could be worth a pop at decnt odds and plenny of firms paying 5 or 6 places . KNICKERBOCCAGLORY  appeals to me seems to run his best races going right handed and was a decent 6th in the betfair hurdle at newbury 2 pound higher than his last win  but 2 pound lower than his betfair run , has run respectedly on soft and hopefully will handle todays ground and around 14/1 5/6  places with some firms could be worth a pop .
also from the same yard and at a much bigger price GOONHILLY  could be worth a crack off 10.4 ,1st time in a handicap and decent form in novice hurdles on heavy and could be a bit better than his rating, this yard is mustard in these handicap hurdles and he is around 50/1 with some firms ,will obviosly need to step up on what he has shown so far but could well do.
selection  GOONHILLY 50/1 5 PLACES BOG 365 EW & KNICKERBOCCAGLORY  14/1 BOG EW  good luck opinions encouraged.

Skeltons blog

Harry [Skelton] rides Faivoir who won last year’s County Hurdle and he is in pretty good form now. It was a good run at Newbury in February. His work this week has been very good which you can’t always say about him. He is looking pretty bright and I thought we would have a look at this. He is entered for the Cheltenham Festival too but I thought this looks a nice race for him.

We also run Knickerbockerglory and this race has been in mind all season. The softer the ground the better and he also ran well in this race last year so it was an obvious one to have high on the agenda. He looks outstanding in his coat and I have to give him a chance. Ok, he isn’t hiding a pound from the handicapper just like Faivoir but they are consistent in these races.

Goonyhilly is at the other end of the handicap. He was second in a maiden hurdle at Wincanton the other day and is a very strong travelling horse with no weight on his back. We thought we would give this a whirl. Obviously, he doesn’t carry the form to this race like the other two, but as I said he’s a strong traveller and the ground won’t be an issue.

I am inclined towards Sans Bruit, just a little worried about hurdling ability but well enough treated.

Just looking through past results and notice nothing has won carrying 11-6 or more for over 20 years, might give Moores novice Junkaroo a few bob EW. Top weights seem to have it all to do, gl fellas.

Blimey not many spectators at Sandown today, certainly not standing in the stands. Maybe they are all in the bars, enjoying a £7.50 pint or two...

The 2nd should have been the winner. Jockey blames himself.

Messed that up -sorry -meant to say that Spoons are in T4 & 5 so you must have been in T1,2 or 3. Guinness £6.90 at Wetherby -was cheaper at Leopardstown.
