Starting BR: 400
7% commission can't stop me in the megamug market. Had a bunch of very close seconds, coulda been +200 more easily.

The trick is to back good horses and lay bad horses.

Go on then I'll bite.
1. Define a good horse and a bad horse
2. What do you do if there is an eight horse race and three are good horses ?
3. What do you do if there's a ten horse race and they are all bad horses ?
By:
Gaze733

1. A good horse has at least 20% higher odds than true odds.
2. I back all 3 because if I didn't, one of the other two would win.
3. Impossible, if 9 horses are bad, the 10th one must be worth an e/w bet.

In a field of bad horses the fav is usually a good pick.

A talented man would likely lose more than half his profits on 7%.  Is it worth playing ?

Commission matters less when you're shrood. At low edge, the diff between 5% roi and 0% roi is huge. But the diff between 35% and 30% is not that big.

I honestly cannot understand how you (and people like F4rty) are not just too embarrassed to keep coming back, time after time, after time, after time. Like this time is gonna be any different to the usual car crash.

Brain of a turnip - beats the markets at 7% comm. What does that say about the market?
By:
Gaze733
When: 06 Mar 24 11:34
The average mug at 2% comm probably loses money at -10% roi.

He's been here 12 years+ doing his bollix. Done in more banks than Farty coupled with Bonnie & Clyde. Has a winning day and he's "cracked the market".

Of those 12 years, only 2 were full time commitment to horses. My lifetime losses on racing are maybe 1k, down from 1.5k a week ago, I'll get it back in no time. Do you really expect someone to just jump in and start making money at 7% comm? The point is that as of today I'm better than you, and I'll have more money at your age than you do.

I'd like to see you turn 400 into 870 in 9 days with €1-10 stakes at BSP.

You get BOG on every bet you place, Glen. Taking the price or taking SP is of no consequence to you.

When I take the current price and they steam by 50%, they never win. If I take the current price and they drift by 30%, they win more often, so BSP is better.
