I backed Revision to place and was certainly to blame.
|
By:
As an aside, you could see that happening with the jolly.
Tommie Jakes **** |
By:
Will it be demoted one place or placed last. Seemed to hamper half the field, esp mokaatil.
|
By:
One of the worst I've seen visually
Only saw it the once on Blv but fav lucky to stay up |
By:
I bet the fav and just glad that young Tommie and horse are alright, that could have ended up badly for both. Looked like they were getting a good run up the inside then .............
|
By:
I can see it was Revision, the fact it came third shouldn't matter.
Should be placed last the jacket given a big ban |
By:
if it is dangerous..........placed last. If not , depends on how many horses the stewards think would have been in front of him, Not easy when it was a lenghth+ ahead of the 4th
|
By:
decent ban coming up for young Doughty
|
By:
Half agree with slippy, Tommy Jakes went for an ambitious gap
|
By:
Whip in the wrong hand would not help him in the enquiry.
|
By:
was there an enquiry ?
|
By:
there wasn't a stewards re the result, they've not posted on whether there was a riding offence and a careless ban, wouldn't be dangerous
|
By:
Nine days suspension for Doughty.
|
By:
did they go careless or improper?
|
By:
All I heard them say on Sky.
|
By:
ok ty, not watching and they hadn't updated the offence on bha
|
By:
All I discovered was a two day ban last month for careless.
|
By:
he's been in the stewards a few times recently
|
By:
I backed the horse for a place and was willing him to change his whip hand but he just kept going.
|
By:
it's up now, careless
he's had a few it is totting up |
By:
Hopefully the lad will take heed and sort it out.
|
By:
when u read that you'd have to say he could have been done on improper, he's a bit lucky no one got hurt

An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 1½ furlongs out involving REVISION, placed third, ridden by Jack Doughty, FISCAL POLICY (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Ryan Sexton, MOKAATIL, unplaced, ridden by Billy Loughnane, HARRY WITH STYLE, unplaced, ridden by Brandon Wilkie and BIG DREAM (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Tommie Jakes. Being a 7lb claimer, Doughty was accompanied by a senior jockey. Doughty was suspended for 9 days for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to hang left-handed without sufficient correction, causing MOKAATIL to be significantly crowded for room and carried onto HARRY WITH STYLE, which was badly hampered. This in turn accentuated the extent of the interference already being suffered by BIG DREAM (IRE), which was in the process of being tightened for room on the rail to the inside of HARRY WITH STYLE, which had edged slightly left-handed of its own accord. As a result of this BIG DREAM (IRE) nearly fell after being severely checked, which in turn resulted in FISCAL POLICY (IRE), which was following being badly impeded.
An enquiry was held to consider interference passing the ½ furlong marker involving GRANNY B (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Laura Coughlan, ALL IN THE HIPS (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Jordan Williams and MOKAATIL, unplaced, ridden by Billy Loughnane. Coughlan was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as she had taken insufficient steps to prevent her mount shifting left-handed impeding ALL IN THE HIPS (IRE), which was carried off its intended line and in turn resulted in Loughnane taking a substantial check aboard MOKAATIL on the rail. |

Yes he was a little fortunate in only getting nine days.

Very true Sparrow. That could have ended up a tragedy. Most important thing is that there were no serious injuries to either jockeys or horses, or both. Money is not important in the bigger aspect of things.
