All worrying about the ground at Newbury and Constitution Hill.
Report HappyHibby • March 2, 2024 11:25 AM GMT
Constitution Hill is running today sparrow ?

Surprised
Report sparrow • March 2, 2024 11:30 AM GMT
I don't think it hardly ever runs
Report HappyHibby • March 2, 2024 11:35 AM GMT
more interested in the football on a Saturday tbh.
Report HappyHibby • March 2, 2024 11:39 AM GMT
where's RPGTV gone ?
Report sparrow • March 2, 2024 11:44 AM GMT
It is now on this channel with other tracks behind the red button.  The sport is on it's last legs I'm afraid.

always thought Betfair could give in running a go on the dogs tbh sparrow...

if the pics were RTV standard i don't see why they couldn't...

would've been interesting imv...

probably wouldn't have worked but it would have been a good watch at least.

They did some years ago on the Sky big nights but it didn't last too long.
Report HappyHibby • March 2, 2024 11:51 AM GMT
if the liquidity ain't there then it's pointless right enough sparrow.
Report longbridge • March 2, 2024 11:59 AM GMT
Like sparrow said, they did it years ago.  I think the problem was the pic speed - you're betting on the dogs as they leave the traps, and on-course they've already turned the first corner.

I've rarely bet on dogs, but occasionaly taken a look at the markets - it's like the open-outcry rings at the LME used to be - all the business done in the last few seconds.

i agree longbridge...

like i said if the pics were at RTV standard it would be a different story imv.

It was only worth an interest on the longer distance races over six and eight bends.
Report HappyHibby • March 2, 2024 12:08 PM GMT
how long does it take them to run the sprints saddo ?
Report HappyHibby • March 2, 2024 12:09 PM GMT
god i've done it again sparrow...

definitely lost it.
Report HappyHibby • March 2, 2024 12:10 PM GMT
i keep saying saddo coz i saw a leeds fan fall from the upper tier at the Chelsea game and i can't get it out of my mind tbh.

Depends what distances you class as sprints, hibby.  There's the two bend nonsense at most tracks these days up to about 400 metres at Romford.
Report HappyHibby • March 2, 2024 12:14 PM GMT
one bend stuff sparrow...

280 metres or something ?
Report GLASGOWCALLING • March 2, 2024 12:18 PM GMT
20 seconds Max.
Report sparrow • March 2, 2024 12:20 PM GMT
That would be classed as two bends hibby and on average about 16 seconds
Report HappyHibby • March 2, 2024 12:20 PM GMT
20 secs with a 0.6sec delay on the pics...

perfectly do-able imv...

i mean it would be worthwhile for photo betting at the very least.
Report sparrow • March 2, 2024 12:21 PM GMT
My time was based on the 262m trip at Swindon.
Report HappyHibby • March 2, 2024 12:22 PM GMT
they call that a 2 bender sparrow ?

every day is a school day...

catch you later sparrow...

lunch time here.
