I suspect that many people on here are neither winners or losers ,but break about even. How do you go from this situation to making it pay?

Polite question. What have you been doing for the last 17 years?

98% of punters still trying to work out how you break even never mind dreaming of making any money.

Reminds me of the classic remark from Vitas Gerulaitis freddie after Jimmy Connors had beaten him 16 times in a row......

After securing the win, Gerulaitis famously declared: “And let that be a lesson to you all. Nobody beats Vitas Gerulaitis 17 times in a row!”

Nobody beats Aceform 19 months in a row   Grin

Bit surprised that you ask such a question. You will know how money is made. Horses are overbet and horses are underbet. Horses with the best RECENT form are usually fav. When that situation can be taken on is often a good starting point.

As it's Saturday, the horse racing investor's sabbath, I'll thrown in one more quote from "The Sayings of Dr Slicer", available at all not very good bookshops nowhere in the country. In view of the adverse going today it is even more relevant. Most of you who take note of the quote will be better off financially at the end of the day. "Never bet on anything that breathes, or is under the control of anything that breathes!" You can post your thanks on this thread at the end of the day. No charge for this very important contribution to the financial welfare of my fellow BetFairians.

Have your thoughts and sayings made you a rich man Dr Slicer?

I've been very fortunate in life in my several careers Mr Rise. So all proceeds from the book of sayings go to the "Get Martin Gale Out from under the cardboard on the park bench" charity.

Stu- it definitely does limit betting. But I'd wager that most BetFairians & indeed other gamblers would be much better off financially if they'd read & followed this advice before they started gambling!

Out of interest, what does your criteria leave to bet on? Grin

An excellent question Mr Stu. You will find that it's impossible to lose when you find the relevant event!
