Fact- there really did used to be a forum meet up & I remember attending a formal Betfair gathering somewhere near the Thames in Hammersniff. The Betfair people were about to reveal the forum names of all who attended but didn't after 2 threatened to walk out if they did!

Was a regular forum meet up 2004/5 kicking off in The Chandos, Trafalgar Sq. Sports Cafe, Hippodrome then a casino.
