Happy with the Italian ice-cream vendors, the Greek eateries but the 'Mongolians' appear to have crawled under his skin.

He gives Genghis some right old stick when he bumps into him.

Last went there about 16 years ago
The front line hotels were OK but most B and B s on the 2nd and 3rd roads back were full of asylum seekers I was told
The owners of these establishments pleased to be full all year round with guaranteed government money

He should be sparrow but he has multiple user names!!

BTW leif , I hit the remote a few days ago and came across an old "Out Of Town" episode in which Jack was messing about with his grandads old muzzle loading shotgun in a shed, my brother found my first shotgun a couple of years ago, also my grandfathers circa 1876, Jacks was the 1770s I think.

Never missed it when a boy!!

Leif

Have you ever been to Benidorm?
Report leif February 23, 2024 6:14 PM GMT
Yes Jimnast.
Enjoyed it both times.
Intend to go ahain.
You can make of it what you want.
The old town is quieter for those who want to avoid the madness.
Report jimnast February 23, 2024 6:17 PM GMT
Sorry leif I thought you were suggesting it was similar to Yarmouth

TBF to Yarmouth, not so many cross dressing weirdos although Frankie Howerd left his nappies on the back seat of his car under the Britannia Pier!!

1st time do you remember heading a casey when it was really wet thumping headache and you needed in - patient hospital care and a week off school to recuperate.
Report 1st time poster February 23, 2024 8:42 PM GMT
yes i do LIB ,with the rubber end of bladder tucked under the lace,
jack hatfields sports shop borough rd , middlesbrough used to relace and dubbing your casey,s for you on a sat motning for a few bob
this particular casey was special cost alot of money and had leather inserts covering all the stitching keeping water out, was known as best ball in area and some lad kicked on road a few months later and car burst it,we send a sob story letter and ball to MITRE saying it was our pride and joy and they replaced it free of charge with another decent ball not quite as good but great gesture,we,re talking £20 plus back in 68/60 for the original, not often my dad splashed out like that, THE BALL WAS FAMOUS IN OUR AREA, MARK PROCTOR[ PROC] boro, forrest, sheff wed etc had his early yrs kicking it LaughLaugh, GREAT DAYS
