No, they are the absolute worst.
The fact that they close your account, and don’t even let you have a pathetic low deposit limit, like even £100 per month, suggests that they might even be doing it on purpose. |

Yes. Its the only conclusion unless their Senior Management arent aware of how extreme they are interpreting safer gaming

Though this should be a argument against those who claim bookies are using ACs as a way of excluding unprofitable customers, or the Exchange is doing it for whatever nefarious reason; the Tote's business model is such that every customer is profitable - every extra pound staked in their pools is an extra 20p or whatever in their pockets - so perhaps people might take the hint that the only source of blame here is the GC, and imagining invented motives for the particular operator subjecting you to AC checks is inventing a personal vendetta where none exists?

Tote said they would only speak to me via phone. I refused said email me so they emailed me the account is closed because they only speak by phone. How is that normal behaviour? “ Here at the Tote, we pride ourselves on being a safe place to bet and we work hard on our tools, contacts and systems designed to promote responsible gambling. We do reach out to customers and prefer to engage by phone, I do understand that this option is not appropriate or appreciated by some customers.

That’s how it should be, Longbridge. But the tote have muddied the waters somewhat by being the biggest players in their own pools.
I understand that the gambling commission is to blame etc, though I don’t understand why they won’t even let some people have £100 monthly deposit limit, which falls well under any affordability limits. It’s crazy as it stops you from playing totefantasy , ten to follow, and from getting extra 5% on your placepot. Maybe they just have to close so many accounts per year to show they are taking their responsibilities seriously, I’ve no idea, through from a customer perspective, it’s hugely frustrating. |
