Big drift throughout the day too.

always travelling nicely...until he wasn't

and at other end, the well backed one given extremely easy lead for the whole race...
By:
drifted and never looked like winning from the start....
By:
Yard are over bet, runners to stay well clear of imo.
By:
Jock didn’t try an inch, four lengths last at the off and stayed there.
By:
Think winner thought it was still cantering down to the start when it won...
By:
"and never looked like winning from the start".... full bank lay trident ?

Would love to know the reasoning behind the solid and constant drift all day. Would love to know the conversations had by trainer and jockey. Certainly all doesn't look good without knowing, but could all be innocent, be great to know either way !

four jocks, hmmmm.
By:
smelliest race for some time that one.
By:
Yes, ominous drift. Two wins on heavy ground so that shouldn't have been an issue. Beaten far too early for it to be the trip. Jock barely got after the horse, and just accepted the situation. No doubt we will get one of those pointless enquiries which says there was no explanation for the pathetic performance. Problem is the market had an explanation before the race.

Didnt get involved with this jockey on board... Should of though with this yard!!!
By:
get on for the festivals then if you believe what you say
By:
Did look poor. no effort really. Drifted like the plaque. Stinks.
By:
Why would you want to get involved with that horse in any race?
I just mentioned O'Neill as heading up the under achieving table, but Murphy not far behind. Similarly, to O'Neill hardly anything progresses beyond handicaps. |
By:
Still you could argue it was put in too short. 7.9k to the winner h'cap with only 7lb between all the runners. Do you think the handicapper is a mug ?
By:
Didn’t see the race but had concerns before it. Running over 2m 4f on stiff track yet entered only in 2m at Cheltenham. If they thought it stayed they would have entered in the 2m5f at the festival. Easy lay really but never bothered.

Carlisle is full of strange…..

Yard are over bet
ominous drift Didnt get involved with this jockey on board Why would you want to get involved with that horse it was put in too short had concerns before best fred in the history of the phorum if we'd had that lot ^^ before the off |

By:
As I suspected the trainer 'could offer no explanation'. What is the point of even recording this?
By:
Might as well say 'trainer refused to comment'
By:
Just think guys, if Bob hadn't had his booster, that run would have been even worse.
By:
Was a dreadful effort tbh. I was at Ascot on Sat and thought the way L'Homme Presse was given a schooling prep for the GC in a 100k four runner race was quite insulting to Ascot and the fans that attended. The saving grace was everybody on the track seemed to be expecting it and bet on Pic D'Orhy accordingly. |

Storm, when you are in on it, it's the sweetest feeling !

Hes a poor trainer whose horses consistently underperform and is for 11 months of the year useless bar a few weeks when some of his run well. Literally after that period is over he is the best trainer in NH to take on his short priced ones (apart from maybe Jonjo)
By:
Case in point. Obviously helps having Bowen on. Its like the icing on the cake
By:
good call racing. lay much there ?
By:
I layed that
By:
As Trident commented earlier in the thread, trainer over-bet. Laying his short priced runners a good idea; wd a decent profit when 2/7 get turned over, another weak finisher from the yard.

Why is trainer over bet?
