We'llhavewan 2.35 Pun. Trained by the man. July to September 2022, ran in hurdles and novice cases showing similar levels of form as evidenced by RP ratings. Since the run only in hurdles, winning 5 with best RP rating rising to 125 and then jumping to 138 after latest hurdles win (by 7 lengths in a 16 runner listed handical hurdle). Effect on official chase handicap mark? Nil! A horse is entitled to progress but are Irish handicappers barred from taking hurdles runs into account in chase assessments? He's showing on here 2.7 in a 16 runner hp today, by the way.

Didn't show much in last 2 chases did it, but could have been under the weather. As you say could be thrown in but price is very short imo running over this distance against experienced h'cappers.
Personally I'd be looking for something EW against it and Champagne Platinum placed in this race last 2 years with a lower mark today and a 5lb claimer on top has a chance. Seems to have had a handy prep race over hurdles and should be spot on for this race I expect he's been trained for.

Agreed, Stewarty. 2.7 is silly. I have also taken Champagne Platinum (ew). And by the way; it works the other way round. From the Ashes (4.10) is running from a hurdle mark 16lb less than his old chase mark which is unchanged. That is much more interesting at 18-20 on here. The 16lb rise seems merited.

Appears leg has fallen off Champagne Platinum, have place layed the fav in the hope his jumping falls to pieces, Any Second Now the old national horse could get a place possibly.
