What was that about? Never put in the race. Stewards have got to have him in and ask for an explanation of his running and riding of a short priced favourite. Without and explanation horse and rider should get a long ban.

Was a weird ride. Was plenty of 4.x to lay turning in though. I kept expecting him to make a massive move, as was watching the race on delayed ATR on sky and the market was suggesting he was doing much better than what I could see.

I do believe had that ride been from a claimer then a long ban would await

The performance of HAVAILA (IRE), which started favourite and was pulled up, was considered. Anthony Charlton could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance other than Harry Cobden’s report that the gelding ran too free and having asked for an effort up the hill, HAVAILA (IRE) stopped quickly. The Veterinary Officer examined HAVAILA (IRE) post-race and had nothing to report.
