Hermes le Gris won off 78 7lb penalty now runs off 90 ?

HERMES LE GRIS is thriving under the expert tutelage of Robbie Llewellyn and a 7 lb penalty for his facile Huntingdon victory doesn't look sufficient to prevent him from following up.   (timeform )

Looked way ahead of his mark at Huntingdon and might well deal with this 12lb rise  (RP )

Was due to go up 5lb for the Southwell run, they got in before the mark took effect.

was probably due to go up after his penultimate run, when he fell when looking like winning.

so was technically well in last time out, and his penalty is on what his mark would have been after it got revised.

it won lto off 78...12lb higher and 83?

would have been no penalty if he won and the got him out quickly, though his mark would have still gone up regardless.

he ran off 78 on the 2/2, and was put up 5lb to 83.

he won off 78 on 8/2, turned out before new mark came into effect.

the 7lb penalty was for that win, on his revised (from the 2/2 run) mark of 83. so ran off 90 today.

the last race he ran off 78 same as Southwell. don't see how running off 90 timeform can talk of a 7lb penalty today and on the RP racecard have 7ex next to the weight carried.  Also looking up the horse record on RP it's official h'cap hurdle mark is 92

2lb well in today, revised BHA rating (Feb 13th) is 92

92 was revised mark after winning lto, so technically was 2lb well in today.
