Bought the book and cards which arrived today.

Unlike previous books recalling the history of the Gold Cup this isn't a step through in chronological order. It picks out various 'stories', and gives a short appraisal of each. I have had a quick scan through, and don't really understand why several pictures are blurry. Not sure of the reason why, but that must have been the intent.

Doubt I will use them much, but the cards depicting the colours of many of the winners are pretty neat.

Yes, I have his Worcester and old racecourses books. He wouldn't have skimped on research. I know him from the old Racing Club days.
