Decent jockey, seen her ride some long priced horses and give them a good ride too. I like her style.

Agree plenty more winners for EG, learning her trade well.

She won by half a length on a horse that the market said should have won.
Nothing to write home about for me but now that she has been flagged I'll watch closely.
A handy allowance and Hobbs and co; wouldn;t put her up if she wasn;t competent.
Good luck to her.

There's already a thread about 4 threads below, and yes, she only just got home on a horse the market suggested would win far easier than that.

Hobbs not the greatest at spying jocks, highlighted by not using Jones anywhere near enough.

Miss Ella Smart rode her second career race today and got her first winner - Stormingin.  Well done her too.  Bl**dy marvellous how well so many of these young girls are doing in the game.

I think Elizabeth Gale is doing well. Just because the market made her a short price does not detract from a canny waiting ride. Hobbs have not had much ammunition for the past 3 years but have a few more this time. Into The Park looks a really nice horse. LH if the price is the best guide, how come so many favs get beaten out of sight?

I didn't say the price was the best guide.  I did however say that the market decided before the race that Georgi was a strong favourite to win.  And therefore should win.  Or do you think favourites shouldn't win?
At the end the jockey and horse were all out.  It was anything  but a "canny" win.
I repeat though, well done young Elizabeth Gale and good luck in your future career.

The market tells you who most PUNTERS think will win which is not at all the same as "should win" However it was favourite and I backed it on the strength of its previous run. She still had to ride a race and not follow the pace set by other inexperienced riders. Her only moment of panic was when going for a gap on the final bend that nearly closed.

I've met Lizzie after her riding Tapley a couple of times and she got many admiring comments over her riding style from those in the industry afterwards. Well merited in my book as well.

Leaving that aside, she's a really engaging and charasmatic person full of positivity and displays pure joy at her love for the horses and best of luck to her I say.

Goes on Sevenofus in the 4.35 Chase at  Wincanton today.  Would seem a tough ask but good luck to her.

Sevenofus looks to have a difficult task, she does get on these outsiders often. The top 3 in the betting look to be the horses to concentrate on. Im thinking about 3 or 4 places bet.

Not much value though. Might sit and watch, she will give the horse a genuine ride, unlike some jocks riding atm!

Yes it's a tough ask for Sevenofus, 4 places is within range though I would think.

Lizzie again takes the ride tomorrow at Fakenham @ 16.25. (£10,562).

The going is described as "good, soft in places and soft in the two dips."

That should be fine and the tight track should suit his running style and as a usually reliable jumper he's definitely in the mix in a very open looking race.

11/2 general price in the village.

I cannot see Tapley out of the 1st 3 with this rider on board. Could even Win. A Geordieland on soft ground, yes please!¬  Good Luck all. I'm backing evens 1st 3(which I cannot believe the price) and EW

As slippy has mentioned tough handicap.

Without a doubt I am part of the Elizabeth Gale fan club. Put her on a decent rated horse, and she will make good decisions that most seasoned pro jockeys wouldn't. She is definitely above average for her level of expertise so far, IMO.

GC, ideally good ground but today will be fine, I would like to think anyway.
He's proved to be consistent and Lizzie says his attitude is excellent and really wants to race. Very nice to read very positive views on E G.as well.
I'm not going today unfortunately.

Wow, I've just calmed down after that!

A tremendous effort from horse and jockey and I shouted Tapley and Lizzie home.
Absolutely overjoyed. It's days like these that makes it all worthwhile.
