Close but no cigar,it’s a wonder that boom boom T didn’t claim 6/1 on that one

The 3rd is one to take out of the race once he gets back on more galloping track.

probert will never ever be a top jockey

Runner up Eleanor Cross is possibly one to beware of.

That's a very crude method of evaluating Jockeyship IMVHO

Silly statement. He already is, he just doesn't get legitimate chances in the big races. I thought Chaldean was going to be the one and he would have been.....
|
|
By:
I agree that Eleanor didn't look to keen to go past - some of them take a while to learn that - 4 yo with not much racing - probably had issues
|

if probert was significantly better (or worse) than a par jockey it would show in 10k+ rides with significant deviation from expected wins
because markets evaluate horses first and foremost, not jockeys he comes out around the 55th percentile for all jockeys, so just a par journeyman essentially |

the same arguments were being trotted out in 2021 & despite a khazy 2022, 2023 & start of 2024...the same lines are coming out again
mental imo |

One of the best rides you will see all month.....but "will never be a top jockey"

The lads in the Racing TV studio were blaming Probert for getting Lessay beat LTO. Beat even further by the same horse tonight.

The head-on made for painful viewing for anyone who'd backed Greatgadian. No news of any ban yet for Probert.

3 days
An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final furlong involving the winner, SUDDEN AMBUSH, ridden by David Probert, GREATGADIAN (GER), placed sixth, ridden by Oisin Murphy and TOP SECRET, unplaced, ridden by Lewis Edmunds. Probert was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift left-handed, with his whip in the incorrect hand, taking GREATGADIAN (GER) off its intended line and resulting in both Murphy and Edmunds having to take a check. |

David Probert's a "top" jockey?
Wow! Simply can;t be relied upon as far as I am concerned. |
