also shows that top/big owners giving pretty much all their horses to 'big' trainers is making folk like me switch off from the sport...
believe it or not but it's not only Mullins / Elliot / Nicholls / Henderson that can train horses... smaller trainers deserve a chance that they can train good horses and it's only the owners that can give them that chance... in fairness to JP Mcmanus he does spread his horses around more than most... could still be doing more tho... should be doing more imv. |

Grade 1 races where one trainer has 80% of the horses in the race is utterly hideous imv...
not blaming the trainer... it's the owners who are to blame imv. |

the "smaller " trainers can do it given the ammo even in the grade 1s hewick and fastorslow 2 good examples ,granted they will be outgunned most of the time but it can be done and it is good that they get a slice of the pie .

and the 'big' owners should be giving them the chance instead of giving all the goodies to the usual suspects imv...
for the good of the sport... coz the way it is just now i find it utterly boring quite frankly. |
