1% to do with the trainer and hosses
99% to do with the 'Free Bets' banner/spiel that accompany it.

Been trying to work out for years why people need the Racing Post , or think they need it.

What is it actually used for , anybody ?

Got an email saying they’re going to increase my sub from £24.95 to £29.95

That’s a hefty price increase and one were it maybe time to cancel.

Just to clarify…I have no problem finding this but it’s more a moral issue for me ie they’re just going to keep raise their prices (in this case well over inflation) because they know they can get away with it.

So do I want to be complicit it aiding their weird business practices and total lack of understanding economics or do I move on.

Let’s face it…they’re not the only gig in town.

Time to bin it ELG , you know it makes sense   Happy

Hayden -the only time I buy it is when I'm at the races as it's easier to check the colours at the home and away meetings than squint at a phone and it's something to read if there's a race you aren't interested in and the away meetings aren't up to much.

i buy about 20 copies a year ...for the train and quiet read in pub before racing . and because its unlikely to have any photos of that daft looking orange lady  with the silly long fringe that seems to be on tv every night nowadays .

I like it for breeding/pedigrees

Agree with Hayden, binned it 10 years ago or more when the annual fee in one hit went from £155 to £175, knew back then I were going to pay for the newsagent abandonments, do I miss it no, get my info for free online, it's all there.

Yes Geoff they got that one right they must have been up early to find that golden nugget, not seen todays but Monday we had some clown say the right race for state man is the county hurdle and yesterday someone made the decision to put on the front page of a horse racing paper a picture of the prime minister instead of hardy eustace.
