reminded me of Jonbon ride last weekend. Instead of keeping stuff simple trying to hold up the best horse then leave yourself open to these issues

He wasn't pushing though, barely nudging. Think his problem was he never asked the horse for a decent jump at any hurdle up to that point, and the horse took off on its own. The jockey was seemingly happy enough to run into that hurdle with an extra stride. He does this a lot in general when riding in Ureland.

I think you are right MJK - good analysis. Wonder if these jocks ever have any feedback from others on their mistakes? Seems to be only sport they dont
