Not sure why you were keen on a horse that was 0 from 15 runs! Now 0 from 16.

Another question is, why is he subscribing to a service that has offered up the jolly to bet, that he subsequently announces as his lay of the day, and then puts up the 2nd fav as a stonewallerLaugh

Sage, you should know better that horse racing is not that simple. Check a database for second favs below 4/1 that have lost 10-15 in a row. The ROI is probably the same or better than for second fav LTO CD winners.

leif the service is good at identifying horses that will significantly drop in price, but at BSP I'm a better judge.

Just checked - 15+ runs, 0 wins, second fav, BSP under 5 - 279 selections since 2015, 69 wins expected, 69 wins actual. The market knows.

You can use your criteria, I use mine. I very seldom back a horse that has run more than 3 times without winning. First time in a handicap perhaps but if there is a winner in a race I would not oppose it with a 15 race maiden.

could have been plaiced in 15 group 1's and now in a maiden at ripon?

Highly unlikely but even if it happened it would be over backed so I still would not back it. There was a horse recently that was rated 100 after placing in a Listed but it never won a race. Some listed 2yo races can be really dire when you look back a year later.
