![]() It's a thankless gig though to be honest. And are that actually any good pundits in racing anyway? Fact is, if you follow the game properly every day for a number of years, watch replays make notes, understand pedigrees and bloodstock, trainer methods, develop strategies to try and find edges, etc, etc, then there is nothing anyone on telly reading the form book to you, or saying one looks fit in the paddock, is going to help you with. One of the reasons I had some respect for Willow back in the day on RUK, even though he was condescending as hell at times, he did make me think about racing differently. The only really helpful thing, would be if she told us that Dad has a certainty in the bumper/novice hurdle etc and they've all had the last 6 months wages on it!!! |

does Meg know who layed Chez Hans from 10 out to 70 before it fell out the back of the telly today ?
|

ist time poster is spot on , she has won races , probably rode some of the best English horses ever, and knows how to muck out I bet, what is it with some people who seem to think that if you don't live on Benefit Street you have no right to tell us about racing, who cares how she speaks if she is telling us stuff that's helpful , and I'm working class and proud...

did she say Chez Hans would fall out the back of the telly after drifting from 10 to 70 on here workrider ?

Happy I didn't watch any racing today, I think the point been made is about her voice nothing else. Sounds to me pardon the pun, none intended, that some on here think it should be full of people who only speak with working class accents . I don't like several Women's voices who work on the racing channels, but if they KNOW what they are talking about it simply doesn't matter in the slightest...

i thought it had moved on from the plummy voice tbh workrider...
i actually don't mind a posh voice... not keen on folk getting jobs coz they are a trainers daughter or son tho tbh. |

Either am I HappyHibby but someone has to do it , a certain family over here have nearly taken over the game . I certainly can't afford to judge anyone on voice , often had my accent mimicked back in the day , but when I lived in England EVERY accent was laughed at ,its such a funny thing when you think of it , nearly every city and town have different accents, when you live among your own it never comes up, move away and its a different matter...

----------------------------------------------------------- and when you add in the wee fat bloke it makes Irish jumps racing at the top level pretty unwatchable imv... can't stand seeing the same stables winning the big races over and over... and that's not just in Ireland btw... i hate seeing it in the UK too. |

the wee fat slug is far too close to the BFG imo...
