Currently on the drift at 9/1, the only slight negative I can find is perhaps the booking of Brendan Powell who is 0/10 (2 places) for the stable, but with Sean Bowen still out then someone has to ride him. His hurdles record outside of Class 1 races is good, winning three from four including 2/3 in tomorrows class of race, only duck egg being when pulled up in heavy going after a long break ridden by a 7lb claimer. Hasn't won off a mark as high as 141 but has done the business off 138. Won this race at a big price last year carrying 12 stone and although he has the same 138 rating tomorrow he actually carries less weight courtesy of Chantry House, hopefully be amongst the places tomorrow. Win and place bet for me. Good luck.

Not sure why they would? Was drawn to the race through White Rhino being in my tracker since Feb last year but Itchy Feet took the eye when looking at the form.

I doubt he’ll be “off” tomorrow as he’s already qualified for the final and they well be “minding” his mark.

Steal A March, is another matter entirely!

Then why run him at all tomorrow? Steal a March is certainkly an interesting one, has a decent record over 23 furlongs plus but just 14 races to date, fragile sort? In the right hands though.

If Itchy Feet underperforms tomorrow he may well get dropped a couple of pounds and is still certain to get in the final.

These were  Henderson’s RP stable tour comments regarding Steal A March

We felt we had him nicely teed up for the Pertemps only for him to miss out, which was a bitter disappointment as it would have been fantastic to have a runner with a live chance at Cheltenham for the King and Queen. Issues were identified and the problem solved and we could be tempted again by fences; he's still young enough to make a bigger name for himself

Good stuff saxon, but what if they are 'preparing' him for this years race at Cheltenham? Just a first 4 placer needed to qualify, why win and pick up extra pounds to carry? Its a conundrum, we'll know tomorrow of course.

Steal A March currently have a mark of 130 which may not be high enough to get into the final (although it would have got in last year).
Winning tomorrow would probably increase his mark to be certain of getting into the final.

I think 130 would be fine, lowest last year was around 124 I think, but as Steal was 5th on seasonal debut they could be making sure that he gets in with a good run tomorrow.

From memory, nearly all the last 20 winners have come from top half of weights.

Needs to rated good enough, risky trying to sneak in low weight.
Percy
Sire de berlais
Bunna vista
All top weights ,won.

Mainly around 11 0 wins.

To win a chelt, plus given the qualification rules, got to have been a decent horse.

A lot of older decent horses end up here, cos they can qualify, just so the owners get a runner at chelt.

The leopard and punch qualifiers produce a lot of winners.
The Warwick one,haydock one.
