Looking at the graph, that is what it opened at, due to the reductions.
Drifted out to 1.2

Was this ever really 1.01 or just a quirk of all the withdrawal factors?

Would be fuming if I was on the end of that.

was this. as stated was around 1.18 SP

how does this withdrawal thing work, why would it be reduced to such an insanely unfair low price ?

There should be a pre-race clause whereby any RFs that lead to a price being below a minimum (maybe 1.03?) should see bets void. Trouble is maybe that would initiate a snowball effect with RFs on the remaining runners?

i'd imagine the PP IT dept will be eggstatic that they've laid 1.01 about a current 1.18 chance.

Was probably already a short price before over 80% reduction factor applied from three non-runners.

SP was 1.23. Pretty good compared with the industry SP of 1/6.

Mind you. The SP of the winner (6.28, industry SP 4/1) was even better.

that would have been in 1000,s of slip bets at 5 to 4 as in papers etc.,but very few slip bets at 1 to 7 etc , bookies clean up on a horse 99% of punters wouldnt  have backed if they new about nons/price Sad

surely there is a way of laying this horse knowing a RF will put you in clover. i wonder what was matched at what price initially for it to count as 1.01 after the 3 withdrawals

Not sure what happened there, I backed BC  before n/rs with a steak saver keep bet @ 1-09, after n/rs were announced I noticed my keep bet had reduced to 1-01 ..... not taken. Sad

Crazy this reduction lark and lap of the gods what you end up with.

At least the bookmaker method you know exactly what you get and how to easy calculate the rule 4 , if 30p x the SP by the remainder of 0.7 or 15p x SP by 0.85 etc.

Exchange way is hope for the best it seems and take what you're given.
