Seems somewhat Senseless - especially with Prize-Money - in Race Order ...

!5,000 x 3 > 35,000 (at 11:40) > 12,000 > 50,000 (at 12:50) > 100,000 (at 1:25)

Weird that Taunton is in the premier spot instead. Can't really grumble about Ascot.

Think they could have started just before 11 and with 30 mins between races finished before the 2pm cut-off but looks like Lingfield have taken the opportunity (?) to have a live race on the Opening Show.

A race meeting starting at 10.10am is utterly absurd and the person responsible for enforcing this situation needs to be sacked immediately.

The BHA has today confirmed that the scheduled first race time for Saturday’s All-Weather fixture at Lingfield Park has been changed from 10.10am to 12.15pm (subject to division).

Forecasts surrounding the three GB Jump Fixtures on Saturday afternoon are uncertain and this later start time at Lingfield Park has been agreed with ARC, ITV and stakeholders in order to ensure that racing will take place during Saturday afternoon, as well as being able to be shown live on ITV.

Excellent news. I was going to have to miss a long-planned record fair and bacon sandwich due to the originally planned 10am start.

I thought earlier ...

The BHA and Lingfield are going to look really stupid if, as anticipated, we end up with (little or) NO Afternoon Racing on Saturday .... and they stick with the ridiculously EARLY Race-Times at Lingfield.

what a sensible and early decision. Never thought the BHA would be so flexible. Fair play to them.

not really they like the rest of us no so called premierisation is a joke/gimmick  and if all the so called premierisation meetings survive ,it wont effect any course, owner, punter in the slightest like it hasnt for last 50 yrs

The forum knew.

Surely there ought to be at least one AW meeting scheduled in the afternoon slot every winter Saturday as a contingency, because this weather isn't a one-off.
