Yet another brave run by this smashing little horse but somehow he always seems to be ridden in traffic and has no room. He is quite small so it has to be the wrong tactic to stay in a tight bunch.

Believe he needs to be ridden that way. Ne needs to be bustled up as likes a battle. Something about the herd mentality.

You might be right brad (sorry, in hell) but it is surely worth a try in a smaller field and either dropping him out or making the running. He gets bumped all over the place and rarely has a clear sight of a hurdle. If that doesn't work then try 3 miles. He was running on really well yesterday and a lot of decent 3yo hurdlers get 3 miles as they get older.

I've seen him travel all over one at Plumpton and got outbattled over 2 and half and then run on in other races.

Think it runs best when he sees no daylight and then has a short burst in big fields, wouldn't trust the horse though
