Mildred on 'The Saint' now ITV 4

George and Mildred appalling stuff

Why do you think it was appalling stuff Sparrow ? Back in the day i thought it was quite good , as many of the 70s/80s shows were.

And just why did you think it was quite good, sludge?

It was funny unlike anything these days

Compared to these days it might have been I suppose.

George to Robin's young German dinner guest (played by Dennis Waterman):

"Did, um, did you ever meet Rommel?"

"No, no. Did you?"

"No, no."

Mildred: "Well, there weren't many of the Home Guard in the Western Desert, were there?"

Glorious.

Yootha was only 53 when she died

Their interaction and relationship was really funny, i still watch the re runs on ITV4 and enjoy them, good fun imo.

Brian Murphy alive and still looking well.
I think he's the only one still alive from one of my favourite films.
Sparrows Can't Sing.

He married the pretty long haired blond girl from hi di hi, still going strong.

Sparrow......you still haven "t answered my original question as to why you find it so appalling ?

I just thought it all very stupid and not funny at all but we all have our different opinions when it comes to comedy.

Sparrow......which ones did you find appealing from that era ?

Fawlty Towers.
